Become a Friend

We need your help to ensure that our local hospital always has the best equipment and facilities to enhance the stay of patients.

We pride ourselves in providing an exemplary service to the community to ensure that Cirencester Hospital is kept up to date with equipment that is available to us all should we need it.

Your help also allows us to be ready to become involved in any campaign that may be necessary should there ever be any threat to the existence of our wonderful local hospital.

Fundraising

Ideas for fund raising activities are always welcome.  From sponsored walks to cake stalls, raffles and tombolas.
There are lots of ways to get involved and raise funds.

If you would like to discuss any fund raising events you may have in mind please contact us by email at info@chlof.org.uk

Leaving a Legacy

Leaving a Legacy is a great way of saying thank you for the care you have received at Cirencester Hospital.
It costs you nothing, since it’s only payable out of money left when you die.

No inheritance tax is payable on gifts to registered charities like the league so all your money goes to the cause you select.
The gift is deducted from your estate before inheritance tax is calculated so there is no adverse effect on anything else.

How We Spend The Money Raised

Day Room Murals

Day Room Murals

The day room on Coln Ward at Cirencester Hospital was the place to be last Thursday (18 July), as dozens of staff and students gathered for the official unveiling of its fabulous new murals.

Designed and painted by students studying graphics at Cirencester College, the colourful underwater scene, sunrise and intricate depiction of a dormouse, have brought to life what was previously a pretty unremarkable room, with plain walls and little character.

Also present at the unveiling was Sheila Rees, Chair of Cirencester Hospital League of Friends, who generously donated the money to buy the paint and materials for the project.

Sheila said: “We were approached by Karen a year or so ago, asking if we would support and pay for the paint and expenses. We were delighted – this is just the sort of thing we want to do for the hospital.

Tree Planting

Tree planted in the memorial garden. Lord Bathurst helped with planting the memorial tree, donated by the League of Friends.

Interactive Screens

A number of immersive screens were presented to the hospital and installed in waiting areas and small surgical rooms, mainly for the benefit of younger patients.

These provide beautiful and fully immersive environments and soothing nature sounds engage patients awaiting treatment, stimulating their senses and relaxing their nerves.
